Meet Claire
Claire is a qualified L5 Sports Massage and Remedial Tissue Therapist, based in Penrith in the Lake District, in Cumbria.
As a runner, Claire has a thorough understanding of training, the importance of rest days, common injuries, techniques and pitfalls. Claire has helped prepare clients for events such as the Frog Graham, Bob Graham, Dragon's Back Northern Traverse, Lakeland 100 and UTMB. She has worked with GB athletes, ultra runners, rugby and football players, cross-fit athletes and recreational sportspeople, as well as those with soft tissue issues as a result of posture, work/desk setup, as well as common sprains and overuse injuries.
For those with injuries or niggles, Claire uses her knowledge of injuries, conditions and anatomy to work towards recovery and fitness. She works at the right pace to rehabilitate injuries using hands-on massage and practical rehab exercises so that her clients feel positive about a return to activity, rather than frustrated. She uses her knowledge and modern research so that clients feel safe and confident in her treatments so that coming back from injury can be a positive and long-lasting process, rather than just a quick fix.
Claire has 5 years’ experience, working in a multi-disciplinary clinic alongside physiotherapists and osteopaths in Harpenden HPO clinic, Redbourn Physio, and in Penrith. She is a member of the Sports Massage Association and is also first aid trained.
